Leon Kuhn was a political cartoonist, political activist, an accomplished musician and a dedicated student and practitioner of Karate.
Leon's interest in cartoons began at the age of 6 and at the age of 14, he won the Observer's national political cartoon competition. He lived in Tokyo for some years, teaching English as a foreign language. It was here that he not only met Akemi, whom he married several years later, but also discovered Karate which he would study and practice, almost daily, for the next 38 years.
